New Tick/Flea Topical Treatment: VECTRA
Tracie has found VECTRA for her own dogs: the newest tick/flea topical is less toxic and more effective than the Frontline and Advantix she was using. Her youngest Weimeraner Teddy wasn't even able to use a spot-on after bad reactions to the existing products, so Tracie is really relieved to have Teddy protected with Vectra now.

Idexx Laboratories, the manufacturer of the SNAP® 4Dx® Test done in the veterinarian's office to determine if your dog tests positive for tick-borne diseases, has this amazing map to show your geographic vulnerability (and therefore how urgent your need to use Vectra 3D for protection).
Want to Know What Tick Borne Diseases are where? - This map is very cool. You can go to this site to scope out the relative incidence of VBDs in your area!

Finally! My dogs are safe with Vectra 3D! This new topical anti-tick and flea treatment keeps away the ticks, fleas, mosquitoes, sand flies, lice and mites — but if any do make it past the repellent, they will be eliminated fast and reliably for the entire month. All three of my dogs now have a degree of protection that didn't exist before Vectra 3D — and the patented applicator allowed me to get the medication right down on their skin where it needed to be. I understand that many people may have concerns about ectoparasite treatments, but please don't let that stop you from using topical protection. Vector-borne diseases are just too awful. It's putting your head in the sand not to get the newest and best protection that modern science has come up with. Ask your veterinarian to get Vectra 3D for you. It's new to most of them so you may encounter resistance. People don't like change from what they already know. The only way to make sure we can all get this improved technology, we each have to ask our vet to get Vectra for us to try. Vectra is only available from practicing veterinarians. Like my own veterinarian, Linda Morris, who was first hesitant, once she tried it on her own dog she was really impressed. Use the links here to find out more and then let me know if your own veterinarian isn't willing to get it for you — if not, let me help!
